Hi Dronecode community — we’re STARTRC, and we’d like to share a small remote-controller accessory designed around a common storage issue.
Standard removable sticks are easy to misplace and often need to be removed before the controller goes into a case. We designed these retractable aluminum-alloy joysticks so they can be shortened for storage instead of being taken off each time.

A practical pre-purchase checklist may make the storage use case clearer:
- Confirm the controller model first: these joysticks fit DJI RC, DJI RC 2, and DJI RC Pro 2; they do not fit DJI RC-N3.
- Check how the controller is stored: the retractable design is most useful when a case or bag would otherwise require the standard sticks to be removed.
- Check the actual case clearance: case layouts vary, so make sure the retracted sticks are not under pressure when the case is closed.
- Confirm the product scope: this is a pair of aluminum-alloy controller joysticks only; the controller and case are not included.
If a case already holds the standard sticks safely, the storage benefit may be limited. For pilots using a fitted case with one of the compatible controllers, which clearance issue matters most in your field setup?
A second fitment check for field use: after confirming controller compatibility, verify three points before arming—both threads are seated evenly, the sticks complete full travel without rubbing the gimbal area, and the retracted position leaves no case pressure. Extend and confirm neutral return after storage. This accessory is for DJI RC, RC 2, and RC Pro 2 only; RC-N3 is excluded.
