Potential dependencies introduced when transitioning to 1.9.0

Hi all,

I have a very mind boggling issue working on an old Intel Aero drone. I am able to compile PX4 with no issues on a separate Ubuntu environment. Version 1.8.0 is detected on the Ubuntu instance running on the drone’s compute board, but anything at or above 1.9.0 just returns “aerofc version = unknown”, and as a result I cannot connect to the drone from QGC.

Any chance someone is aware of a version dependency introduced from 1.9.0? I suspect this has something to do with pymavlink but so far I’ve been unsuccessful in pinpointing the exact issue.
