# Only secondary GPS connected to GPS2

I am testing the usage of just a 6-pinned secondary GPS, therefore, connected to GPS 2, and no 10-ping GPS connected to GPS1… but I am not being able to make it work.

I disabled GPS\_1\_CONFIG, and set GPS\_2\_CONFIG to “GPS 2”, but not working… what should I do?

Hi @covelus Did you try to set GPS2 port baudrate manually according to your GPS specs ?

[SER\_GPS2\_BAUD](https://docs.px4.io/main/en/advanced_config/parameter_reference.html#SER_GPS2_BAUD) sometimes auto baudrate not working.

If you’re not able to see this parameter in QGround parameter tab set a mavlink instanca to GPS2 like [MAV\_1\_CONFIG](https://docs.px4.io/main/en/advanced_config/parameter_reference.html#MAV_1_CONFIG). After reboot you can see the SER\_GPS2\_BAUD parameter. Set it to correct baudrate and disable MAV\_1\_CONFIG and set GPS\_2\_CONFIG again.

This is a potential solution .
