Issue: Here3+ GPS connected pixhawk and is not establishing the geofence boundary when connected to the Cube Orange+ flight controller. Additionally, compass calibration is not completing successfully. Need support to identify and resolve the GPS/geofence and compass calibration issues.
It may help to separate this into two issues first: GNSS/home-position establishment and magnetometer calibration.
For the geofence issue, could you confirm whether the Here3+ is actually providing a valid GNSS fix and whether PX4 establishes a home position? A basic PX4 geofence is referenced to the home position, so I would verify the GNSS path before treating this as a geofence-specific problem.
Since the Here3+ is connected to a Cube Orange+, it would also be useful to check whether the device is being detected correctly on DroneCAN.
Could you provide:
-
PX4 firmware version and QGroundControl version
-
how the Here3+ is connected/configured (CAN port and relevant DroneCAN parameters)
-
output of
listener sensor_gps -
output of
listener sensor_mag -
whether QGC shows a valid GPS fix and home position
-
the exact message/error shown when compass calibration fails
-
a
.ulglog from a session where the problem occurs
For the compass calibration test, I would also try it outdoors and away from vehicles, reinforced concrete, power wiring, and other magnetic sources.
With the log and sensor outputs it should be possible to determine whether this is a DroneCAN/device-detection issue, a GNSS/home-position issue, or a magnetometer/orientation/calibration issue.
