Changes to PWM_AUX_TRIM only comes into affect after reboot

We are using a custom mixer file and running on v1.12.1.

If we update the PWM_AUX_TRIM_* values in QGC, the change only comes into affect after a reboot.
This was not observe in v1.11.

Was this a intended change in v1.12?

The same behaviour observerd with PWM_MAIN_REVx in Version 1.12.3
